Gertrude Blocker can connect an iPhone or iPad to your Gertrude parent account. Once it's connected, you can manage what the app blocks from the parent website.
The Blocker app creates the six-digit connection code for you. Here's what to do when it appears.
Step 1: Keep the connection code open
Leave Gertrude Blocker open on the iPhone or iPad while you connect it. The app will show a six-digit code and a link beginning with gertrude.app/b/.
Step 2: Open the link on your device
Use Send link to send the connection link to your own phone or computer, then open it there. You can also type the displayed gertrude.app/b/ link into a browser.
Use a device where you can safely sign in to your Gertrude parent account—not the child’s device.
Step 3: Sign in and choose a child
Sign in to your Gertrude parent account, or create a free account if you don't have one. Then choose the child who uses this iPhone or iPad. You can add the child during this step if they aren't already in your account.
Step 4: Finish the connection
Confirm the connection on the parent website. Gertrude Blocker will notice when you're done and show that the device was successfully connected.
You can now manage the device from the child’s page on the Gertrude parent website.
