Gertrude Podcasts is a podcast app managed by parents or accountability partners restricting access to a select set of podcasts. It connects to a Gertrude account for subscription management and PIN reset. The app itself does not collect names, email addresses, contact information, location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

Information the App Sends to Gertrude

The app sends a small amount of anonymous app data to help us understand usage patterns, keep subscriptions working, and fix bugs. This can include:

• Basic app and device details, such as app version, iOS version, device model, and an iOS-provided identifier for Gertrude apps.
• App events, such as first launch, onboarding completion, subscription status changes, review prompt choices, and error reports.
• Short details needed to understand a problem, such as a podcast feed URL entered in the app or the result of a subscription purchase attempt.

We use this information only to operate and improve Gertrude Podcasts, and we do not use it for advertising. Once a device is connected to a Gertrude account, this data is associated with that account.

Podcast and Purchase Data

Gertrude Podcasts downloads podcast feeds, artwork, and audio from Apple podcast search and from the podcast providers you choose. Those providers may receive ordinary network information when the app fetches their content.

Subscriptions are managed through your Gertrude account. The app records limited subscription status details so it can tell whether your free trial, subscription, or complimentary access is active. Legacy subscriptions purchased through Apple before version 1.6.0 are honored during a migration period.

Support Actions

The app includes support-only actions that can upload or download the app's local database when troubleshooting requires it. These actions are not automatic; they require a special command entered into the app.

No Selling or Marketing Sharing

We never sell Gertrude Podcasts data. We do not provide it to third-party services, customers, advertisers, or marketing platforms.
